Today we met at the Royal Engineers Museum to kick start 8 weeks of art-making, exploring and responding to the museum’s wealth of artefacts, if you can call a Harrier Jump-Jet or a section of the Berlin Wall artefacts. As a group we have been invited to collaborate with the museum and were warmly welcomed by Rebecca, Ross and the front of house team. With free reign to roam throughout the museum we gathered inspiration from Sweetheart badges to shell casings. Rebecca shared objects for handling, sparking all manner of conversations about our future exhibition “Through Our Eyes”.
It was a truly inspirational start to our new project and to quote Helen “I see with my fingers and I want to share that with others”.
Follow our journey over the next couple of months in the build up to our exhibition 28th April – 13th July in the Open Space Gallery at the Royal Engineers Museum.
